Bone Not Inheriting Translation When Masked
I created an animation mask in order for my character to play a running or walking animation while also holding their weapon. The mask was for the arms of the character. Unfortunately when playing the running animation, the arms will inherit rotation and translation, but the bones for the weapon will not, resulting in the weapon staying in one position. Is there a known way to fix this? I used blender for the animations and bone structure.
The following video shows the masked animations at the start, then shows a working unmasked animation, and finally shows the mask itself.
