How to use a mesh for A* / as a NavMesh?
Hello, I noticed how the Unity Pro NavMesh baker, essentially is just making a mesh from data you give it. Is there a way to just model the entire NavMesh as a plain mesh in modeling software, and then turn it into a proper NavMesh?

If you import a mesh and mark it as the only "navigation static" element in the scene, isn't that what will happen?
Hmm, I'm not sure, I thought that was just to define it as part of the walkable list for when it bakes the Nav$$anonymous$$esh?
No you can't import. You need to bake it after making it Nav$$anonymous$$esh Static.
I was hoping to just use the mesh without baking so it would be less vertex information, and give complete control over it and its boundaries.
