Unity 4.7.2 unexpectedly quits on opening in Mac OS 10.6

I just downloaded Unity 4.7.2 for my Mac OS 10.6, but upon attempting to open it, it says Unity has unexpectedly quit. Is this a glitch in the software or did I do something wrong? How do I get a version of Unity that will work on my Mac?
