XML Encryption
Finally got my XML files working (Yes!), but now I'm faced with the problem of encrypting them. I mean, I can always just "trust" my Players, sure. But for the flags set in place to progress story elements and such, I really can't have those kind of files accessible.
There was an example here, but I am clueless as to how it works. If anyone knows any solutions or explanation to the possibility above, I'd be greatly appreciative.

You could hash some important values along with a magic number and put that hashcode as a field in your XML file.
At runtime, you check the hash using the same method, if it is different then it means that the file has been edited.
Sorry, I'm a little confused as to what you mean. Would you $$anonymous$$d giving me a quick example?
