Dynamic Shadow from Spotlight
So Im wanting to cast a dynamic shadow from a spotlight. Im using Unity Pro, but its still not casting shadows when setting the shadow casting to soft/hard shadows. I am even trying to use a basic cube mesh provided by unity and it still doesn't provide shadow. Please help.

Make sure you're using the Deferred Lighting path. You can adjust this in the Player Settings for the entire project, or on the Camera component itself.
yes, if I throw a directional light in, I get a shadow. Just not working when I try using Spotlight.
Hmmm, it might be easier to figure out why you don't see shadows with an example scene.
pretty much I found that the issue was in the perspective I was using. I had it as orthographic, which wasn't producing shadows, switched it to perspective and bam, shadows.

You'll have to change the Rendering path to "Deffered Lightning" in Edit > Player Settings > Other Settings
if you want to keep Forward rendering (as you can see there are pros and cons to both) only the directional light can cast realtime shadows, but other light source can have baked shadows from lightmapping
