How can I fix these low-res Terrain textures?
I've messed with the texture settings in the inspector - they are identical in every way that I can see to textures in other projects that aren't doing this. Any idea what's going on here?
$$anonymous$$aybe the texture is mapped in a way that stretches it over the whole plane without tiling it? Try making smaller terrain tiles with the texture and see if the problem persists.
This does look like a tiling issue as stated by Cherno. Select the terrain, select the texture tab, select the texture then 'Edit Texture...'. Here the tiling is in units rather than divisions, try setting it to a lower number like 4 or 8 (default is 15). This will deter$$anonymous$$e if that is the problem, otherwise check the answer by Sajidfarooq.

If the textures appear to be the correct sizes, but are just super blurry. Look at BaseMapDistance (under the far-right Gear menu in Terrain.) If it somehow got set really low (or your terrain is huge) Increasing that may create a "crisp" area.
"Modern" terrain engines pre-make a super-low-res image of the entire terrain. For anything that counts as far away, they just use that low-res baseMap (for speed.)
