Pause a Particle Effect?
Simple Question, how can you pause a particle effect mid-explosion? As far as I know there is no way to use timescale locally on certain objects and using your own time variables for calculation would not work on emitters either. The effect I'm trying to get is as if the timescale is reduced to 0 mid-blast or simply pausing the editor mid-game, but just to that object of course.
Virtual high five to the correct answer.

use particleEmitter.enabled = false;
all the particles will be paused in space until you enable it again.

The new particle system (shuriken) for 3.5 actually has a pause function, though.
ParticleSystem.Pause();
