Object appears different after import to unity.
I'll show you an example:
Object in Cinema4D
Object in Unity
I'm exporting out of Cinema as FBX and importing the FBX into Unity.
What can I do to get rid of this 'tearing' of sorts?

Make sure you are importing/calculating the normals properly. It looks like it's trying to put smooth normals on everything, where that's not really what you want at all.
In the Mesh Importer dialogue, there is a sub-heading with 'Normals/Tangents'. Play around with the settings in there, and see if that solves your problem.
Otherwise, make sure that you are exporting your normals properly from Cinema4D.
I forced Unity to calculate the normals and not use the imported ones. Bingo. Cheers!

Can you export as collada??? I use blender and I allways export as collada file and everything is same in Unity.
I'm afraid that's more to do with Blender than Collada...
