opening external application from Unity web player
Hi,
I'm working on a project and the client would like to build a unity web player where you click on objects it opens a external file. I've tried it as a self exacutable and it works. But the client would like the unity project on the web. Is there an alternative/work around to this?
Thanks
you cant actually!
from web you cannot access local files in first place!
As @flamy says you cannot. How would you know that the external file exists on the machine in the first place?
The software that's being used is ProjectWise an application made by Bentley. It's a link that exist on a external server that would launch the software program and then open the file.
