Switching Platforms
Well, I made a game for android witch works 100% ok,when I tried to switch the plaatafform to ios the game still worked 100% on the editor, but when I tested on a Iphone 5 and 6, it was with a lot of bugs, must of it had to do with the physics and Instantiate. Any idea ?
What does the xcode compiler say about it? What kind of error does it give. What are the bugs you are talking about?.
*Things to note when making a mobile game, Debug.Log(""); will slow your game down if it gets called alot. Remove all Debug.Log before publishing to your mobile device. *Load.Resources is a very slow calling method *GameObject.Find"" is also slow but isn't a big problem if you limit it to a few objects. I prefer GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag"". *Instantiate and destroy is more cost heavy than looping the objects.
These are the errors that the xcode gives. About the bugs, are things like, I have an instantiate method, that calls an object every 2 seconds, but in the iphone, it calls the object in about 1 second or less, and I also have an collider set to call an function when a specific object collides with it, but when the it hits, nothing happens. And thanks a lot about the tips, it will help a lot
