I want to do something that Unity probably wasn't made for. I want to port a business type application to the iPhone. At first I was going to just do a normal iPhone looking application. Then I saw Unity and thought it would be fun to write my application using that.
Then I realized Unity is for games, mainly.
This is when I got my novel idea. What if I made my business application as a game. The contents will be represented by 3D objects so navigating them is almost like playing a game except you are getting real work done.
The only thing missing from this idea is that there are some points in the application when the user will need to enter text, numbers and such. I know I could roll my own stuff for all that, but wanted to check first if there is something already available?
I will want to move this app to Android eventually as well, so something for Unity that is cross platform would be best.

Yes, http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/ScriptReference/GUI.TextField.html for example. A bunch of standard UI components exist and you can roll your own too.
Thank you for the link. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
