Needs Administrative Access to Install
I just recently completely wiped my computer and am now trying to redownload Unity. Every time it gets to the end of the install it says it can't complete it because it needs administrative access. Not sure what that means and I can't find an answer anywhere else online. Thanks for the help. Also this is on a PC just so you know.
Which operating system are you using? On windows, you should Right-click on the installer and click on "Run as ad$$anonymous$$istrator"
Windows 7. I have never had this problem trying to download anything before. So I wasn't sure if there was something different with Unity but even when I installed Unity the last time I still never had this problem.
It depends on the installer. Some installers require additional privileges, so you need to run them as ad$$anonymous$$istrator.
Welcome to UnityAnswers btw, and please do read the FAQ for information on how to post, mark a question as answered, etc.
Thank you I will. You think it would have something to do with the browser? I'm trying now on Chrome ins$$anonymous$$d of IE
Do you mean the Unity browser "plugin" (so you can play Unity games), or the whole Unity development package (so you can make games)?
