Looking to map a GUI to a persons hand
I'm not even sure where to begin with this. I need my gui to be re-scaled to the size of their hand based on a calibration of which the size of their hand would cause the keys to be mapped around it but I can't even think of where to start with that. Can anyone point me in a general direction?
Touch-screen or keyboard? If keyboard how were you thinking this would go? They smash down keys and you see which ones are hit?
I like the idea of smashing the hand on the keyboard. Should think of a version for the face as well.
As for a more serious idea, I would guess you go with touch, so you could detect the position of the touches. Then you map it with vectors.
You could have a template of a hand with particular points that you move to the actual location of touch. Each node of your template would look for the closest touch and move there. Each node is already connected to the next node, you have your fingers done. That would require some testing tough.
Touch Screen, Thank you fafase sounds like you know exactly what I want to do. $$anonymous$$y only problem is that I would also want to scale the keys based on the final position of the out stretched hand. $$anonymous$$ost definitely like the direction with vectors and nodes.
