Mecanim - changing animation clip speed, through script?
is there a way to change certain animation clip/state speed through script in mecanim?

This post helped me a lot on that issue:
but shortly, I think there isn´t a way to acomplish that as in the old days. You can change myAnimator.speed (for all animations on a layer, I think) or use a blending tree with to versions of t he same animation (one slow, other fast).

Sorry to necro a thread. But in case others find this thread like me.
Meat's answer is good. But it also speeds up all the animatons on that particular layer.
Unity came up with a solution (finally) after a couple years.
