Vehicle customization.

Can somebody make a car customizing script for me? Thanks.

Lol just kidding!!!

Ok this is a basic where the f#$k in hell do I start and basic understanding type question.

So in my game I need a somewhat simplistic vehicle customization script that does some automatic stuff for the AI too. It entails only 3 parts. Propulsion with wheels and everything, chassis and turret.

Like warzone 2100 if any of you have played it.

Here are some questions in order.

1: I need something called lists right?

2: Do I have to or is it advised that I make separate lists for the 3 kinds of parts IE turret, chassis, propulsion?

3: I want the customizer to work during game play. As in you as one player will be able to interact with the process of making this thing while somebody else including AI is busy with it. As in you can get your ass shot off while making something. So would that be a bad idea? Would it be bad for an open world game?

4: Would terrain slicing and setting neighbours work with such a thing to limit the affect on cpu?

Can anybody point me to a good example of a vehicle customizer in unity? Or even better an example of coding for such a thing? Doesn't have to be about cars or vehicles, anything that does the same fundamental thing if you know what I mean.

For such general questions (where do I start? Basic concept of xyz?" etc, please use the Unity Forums. Here, you should have a pretty specific problem to expect good answers.
