Instantiating an object on an empty gameobject??
Hi I need to be able to instantiate a prefab as a child object of a empty gameobject. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help me out.
Thanks in advance :)
$$anonymous$$aking something a child is easy...just assign the transform of the parent to transform.parent of the child. But you are missing essential info for someone to give you an accurate example.
What is the physical relationship between the empty game object and the Instantiated prefab (if any)? That is, do you want them to match in position and/or rotation?
Does the empty game object exist or do you need to create it at runtime?
If it exists, what method are you using to reference it?
