Skybox on/off Issues
Hi, I've been having problems with my skybox image. I'm working on a 2D game, so I really just have one image in the background.
The issue is that while I move around, the skybox image will turn off. Also, sometimes if I move left or right, the image will turn off and on again depending on the direction the character is facing.
I've tried using large and small images in various formats.
I've been putting this issue off for awhile now but I have tried everything I could think of and haven't been able to find a solution. Anyone know what may be causing this? Thanks!
By Skybox do you mean the "Skybox" or some image you put in the background?
Yes I mean the Skybox $$anonymous$$aterial under the render settings. It is a simple diffuse material with a 1080x1080 bmp attached to it. It may be worth noting that it's not a well constructed 'skybox' because I only need to see one face in the background anyway. The sides outside of my camera are stretched pixels...
Sure, it's all pretty dark, but you should be able to see what's going on.

The weird thing is as I work on a level, certain areas will consistently have the issue, and other areas won't. As I build however, the problem zones shift around.
can you replicate the "bug" in a empty project? If not, then it is something you added that causes it, if so, then it's a Unity Bug, which you should report and try to get rid of by restarting and/or reinstalling

I have the same problem and it seem that if im in, some invisible box, i have the skybox, but when i'm out i only have it when i'm looking to the box.
I'm using custom shader for the skybox, maybe this happens becouse of this.
On my project i could solve by rotating the plane instead using scale = -1... But you can try to enable/disable components and see if that one of your component is cousing this.
