How "File IO error - Failed to open file" Beast error can be fixed?

Hello, everyone!

I'm getting error when I bake lightmaps: "Something went wrong in the Beast lightmapper: File IO error - Failed to open file: \\?\D:\Unity\ChildrensRoom\Temp\Beast\jobs\f57d1953a699c76b82862baddb9e10ba33ae9716\output\result_pass0_target0.exr Failed to open file" . The error occurs after baking of a few lightmaps and after that the lightmaps simply dont update. They are baked, but almost at the edn of baking I get this error. When I close and restart Unity I can bake again. And the objects I've failed to bake previous time can be baked now. But after I bake 1-3 lightmaps I again get this error and again only restart can help. It is very annoying to restart Unity every 5-10 minutes.-) Has anyone faced such problem?

If I had to guess what it was, I would say that your game/project is on a separate disk/drive. I transferred one of my games from my flash drive to my laptop a while ago, and then I opened Unity, just to see that the software was still trying to reference to the USB, even though a copy of the game was on the laptop. Maybe the same thing happened to you?

-Hope I helped

What helped me was making sure the projectname was not to long, and that the project is on a simple location on your computer (so the path is not to long). Just wanted to update this post because I was searching for an answer and noticed that this thread never closed.
