What's better for performance, changing the culling layer of an object or deactivating it in the scene?
I have a few game objects I wanted to swap between to represent a character in different locations. They're just static objects, so it made me think.. What's a better practice? Always keeping them active and just changing their layers so they're rendered as needed? Or activating and deactivating them in the scene?
