Having trouble with buffered RPCs. Getting error "Couldn't invoke RPC function 'BroadcastName' because the networkView 'SceneID: 10 Level Prefix: 0' doesn't exist"
Hey everyone. I've been searching around for a solution to this issue. It seems this is a common error. I just cannot seem to fix it so forgive me for posting about it again. What I'm trying to do is send the connected client's player name via buffered RPC to everyone in the server. The problem is newly connected clients do not receive this message (seeing as they also need to know the name of the client), even though it's added to the buffer. These clients get the error:
Couldn't invoke RPC function 'BroadcastName' because the networkView 'SceneID: 10 Level Prefix: 0' doesn't exist
This is how I'm sending it:
function Awake () {
networkView.RPC("BroadcastName", RPCMode.AllBuffered, PlayerPrefs.GetString("playerName"));
}
