How could I make a multiplayer system that works with wifi?
I'm a noob when it comes to multiplayer stuff, and obviously I'm in need of some help.
Many games in the IOS app store have a multiplayer option. One person hosts it, and the other person joins the server. But in most games, you need to connected to the same wifi, or as they call a "Local Multiplayer".
I want to know how to do this, if it costs money, what scripting would be involved, ect.

It doesn't matter if it is Wifi or landline.
After that, it just depends on your multiplayer technology and the way you implement it in your Game. Some require internet access, some don't, it all depends how you want to use it exactly.
And just have a look around for multiplayer tutorials. You have the build-in Unity Networking, and you have third party solutions like photon. So my advice would be to just do a google search, look what is out there, and do some tutorials.
