Which is the best option (Procedurally world generation save)
Hi,
well I had a question, I created a procedurally world using a seed, it's recommended to save the created world in a texture? Or that doesn't matter, because the world will generate like before...
I don't know what is the best answer, so... What's your opinion?
PD: The player cannot edit the terrain.
Thanks in advance. Bye.
Will the player make changes that you want to persist?
Nope... I forget to say that... the terrain is a mesh procedurally generated...
All that is explained here: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/ScriptReference/Random-seed.html isn't it?

You can just save the seed. If the seed always results in the same world then there's no reason to save anything else.
Hi moderator of forums... :P Yes, that's what I think, but I need opinion... I say it, because I don't know which is more quickly, and which ocuppies more in the RA$$anonymous$$... (If I destroy tiles I think that the best method is save the seed, but I want to know your opinions... :P) Thanks for the answer Eric.
