I would like to learn a programming language. I have no prior experience in programing. What would you suggest for a beginner?
I would like to learn a programming language that will help me develop skills for more advanced languages like C++.

Don't know about C++ but Javascript is perfect for beginners and it allows you to build games with Unity.

C# is an excellent first language. It's easy to learn and use, but if you want, you can also write more powerful programs as you grow. You can get the Visual C# Express compiler for free from Microsoft:
