Show GUI texture then not

Hello, I have a GUI texture and am putting a script on it so when, say, my GUI text is > 0 the texture shows and when GUI text is not > 0, the texture wont show. I have been trying for a while but cant get it to work exactly like this. Here is what I know that I need:

function Update () {

if (otherscript>1){

this is where I need the texture to show;

}

}
