unity 4.1.2f1 crashes whenever i try to drag a prefab to scene
unity 4.1.2f1 keeps crashing whenever i try dragging a prefab onto the scene. Any idea on what could be causing this, it's not even giving me any addition information. laptop spec Windows 7 64bit 2gb Ram 2.4GHZ intel core
Crashes practically NEVER happen for me in any version. Unity is rather amazing in their creation. I would guess otherwise that the update didnt go so well. So, I would reinstall Unity to start your reasoning behind the crashes. If that doesnt fix it...then...
If the prefab was created in the different version of unity, it might crash.
Highly doubtful. But in all, possible. Ive gone a while before updating and have no issues at all.
Did you find a solution for this? I am having the same issue for unity 4.2.1 on $$anonymous$$ac
I also have this problem. Two steps back for every step forward; just keeping a Unity project working (let alone working on it) could be a full time job.

As mentioned I had this issue too. Fixed by reverting to 4.2.0f (select other versions from the Unity download).

Trying disabling the object with Interactive Cloth on it. If you've deleted the original from your scene you might be screwed. If you still have it in your scene, you can disable the cloth gameobject, and re-apply the prefab.
