Spotlight Does Not Show Up on iPhone5c (works on iPhone 4s/6 iPad mini/air and Galaxy S4)
Hi everyone,
My game has a scene that has 3 different Directional lights (set at different angles and using culling mask to light a sphere and coins) and 1 Spotlight to light only the floor. It all works great in Unity Editor, as well as on iPhone 4s, iPhone 6, iPad Mini, iPad Air, and Samsung Galaxy S4. However, the spotlight appears to not be working at all on iPhone 5c. Take a look at the second screenshot and you can see the floor is not being lit up at all on iPhone 5c. Also, the sphere seems to have something strange happening with its lighting also. I'm not sure if the issue is with the spotlight or maybe the shader (using Standard Shader on all objects in the scene), or maybe something else like the lighting settings...? Has anyone seen anything like this on iPhone 5c?
I've been looking for an answer and have tried setting the Render Mode on the Spotlight to Important (didn't help). I've also updated the Quality Settings to have 4 for the Pixel Light Count (not sure it needs to be that high, but tried it just to be sure - this also didn't help). The spotlight is set to Realtime baking, with Render Mode on Important. Have also tried forcing to Open GLES2 (didn't change anything). Rendering Path is Legacy Vertex Lit.
I'm attaching 2 screenshots - the first shows the scene on iPhone 6 (how it should look), the second shows how it looks on iPhone 5c.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Pete
