Android gyroscope
Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to get the giroscope data of android to unity, so I can turn the camera exaclty as where my phone is facing.
Thanks a lot!
is anyone going to answer this question? can this be done at all? any ideas?
sorry, dint even know the android had a gyroscope, I thought they only had an accelerometer.
As far as I know, it's really just an advanced accelerometer & they called it a gyroscope.

Can this be done with a compass / tilt combo?

Some android devices definitely have a gyroscope, such as the Galaxy Tab. To get access to it, and the compass, and any other android sensor the easiest way is to write a Java plugin and utilize the AndroidJNI classes (AndroidJavaClass and AndroidJavaObject as well).

Prefrontal Cortex has such a plugin in the asset store, which provides access to all sensors Android has to offer.
