Empty scene size problem
Hi, i have my project with the game, i don't know how is possible that the IPA uncompressed is about 450MB! I found that when i built an empty scene the game size is about 300MB! and i don't know what is. I find that maybe is a cache in the resources folder, like a hidden resources folder that grabs cache from older scenes.
I don't know if anyone knew about this problem, and the solution.
Thanks.
So are you using the Resources folders? They will be included no matter what.
I've found that deleting things on occasion causes the references not to be lost and therefore assets are still included. But not to that scale.
Yes, i'm using the resources folder.... I'm actually have the idea that the project are build me an old version with the new one, so that incremented the size of the app. Actually i found the "cache" folder in the Library settings have 1.14GB of size, i don't know if this it's a problem for the final build, because all my assets folder, including the resources folder, are in 337$$anonymous$$B
Well if your resources folder is 337$$anonymous$$B then an empty scene will be 337$$anonymous$$B. It always uses all of the resources in the resources folder, even if you don't use them.
Don't use the resources folder for anything you don't load manually at runtime.
Yes, the 337$$anonymous$$B is all my ASSETS folder... The Resources folder is in 11$$anonymous$$B only. But when i build the game the resources folder increases to 100$$anonymous$$B, and all the empty scene 350$$anonymous$$B
Are you using something that needs to be expanded on the target device (like substances which need to be turned into textures for iOS?)
