Help, problem with the light in unity

I got a problem, when i add a light source into the map, there is always one point where the light is stronger then on other places on the map. I really don´t like this and like to maintain the true color of the texture that i chose.

alt text alt text

The first picture doesn't have a gameobject that lights up the map. The second picture does have that gameobject that lights up the map.

The downside of the second picture is that it won't light up the hole map with the exact same (lets say) Strength. instead it would light 1 place more then other places. I added a MC character to it so you could see that the mesh isn't lit up from both side. I wish to let the texture be in it true color without adding more light to it.

So, is there a way to do this?

-Hexer.

Use a directional light instead of point light. The documentation describes the differences.

Alright, the floor where the players walks over it is fine now. but the lighting on my character is still abit weird. alt text alt text

In the first picture you see in the scene the true color i want to have in my game. In the second picture in the scenetab and in the gametab. you see it is different from the original.

(both of the pictures got the light-object enabled, i only disabled it in the scenetab of the first picture.)

I wish to know how to fix this.

Guess I'm not really seeing differences in how the character looks between the two images.

You can see it better in this picture, You clearly see that the left picture is different compared to the right one.

But when i put the directional light on my map it looks like the right one. which i don't really like.

So do i need to put a directional light in all direction to fix this?
