Best Jump Source: Rigidbody or CharController

Which is best to adjust speed of going up and coming down? IS there any real preference?

its hard to tell because of the scaling of your scene. are you talking about how much upwards velocity you should add? most of the time, i usually keep tweaking it until it feels right in the game scene.

How high should the character jump? How far should he fall?
What should this look like?
What should my menu look like?

Please ask proper questions. This Answer forums is for detailed, technical questions. Not opinionated, "what is the preference" questions!

The character controller code does not simulate real physics, but preference is a matter of opinion or depends on the nature of the game being implemented.

Way to be a dick, Ben. This forum is full of technical opinion on how to approach a situation. This topic was closed before I could even fill in anything else. It was a simple question of which would be better to control the jump speeds of going up and co$$anonymous$$g down. I was told one was more appropriate than others. If you felt the its not up to YOUR standards as a question for this site, then move along.

I simply am asking if there is a real difference between using a CC or a RB to control the movement. The scene is scaled at default size. Thank you for your richous response, rob. Thats all I was looking for... This is a simple jump and down, but being able to control the speed of going up and down.
