View sound wave in unity game
Hi i was just wondering if it would be possible to make a visual sound wave for songs come up in the game, similar to audacity?
For what purpose? If you select an audio asset you get a wave-form preview at the bottom of the inspector. Do you want this "wave" to display in game or in some editor windows? Or what do you understand by "visual sound wave"? If you ask a question keep in $$anonymous$$d that nobody have a clue what you want to do or what you already have. $$anonymous$$aybe edit your question to give some further information. Take a look at http://answers.unity3d.com/faq
GetSpectrum data should be what is needed. i havent really pieced anything together. i was just thinking of being able to view a songs sound wave as its played in a unity game. exactly like the wave form preview.

It appears AudioSource.GetOutputData and GetSpectrumData would let you do what you want -- though the docs are mighty sketchy, so it's a little hard to tell.
There's more info on the forums from someone who got a music visualizer working.
IS it possible to create sound and copy other sound into it?
