Grab/Push Rigidbody with CharacterController

Hi guys, I'm trying to grab/push a box with a CharacterController but parenting the box(RigidBody) seems to be canceling the physics in the rigidbody, it starts to go inside walls em such.

How can I do it?

Why not just translate it to a certain position rather than parenting it? As in, move it in front of the player on Update() or something?

But just moving it(changing X Y Z) will not also ignore physics?
