Importing Levels for 3D Program to Unity?

Hello Unity Community,

I've been wondering if unity allows us to import an entire level to unity from a 3D program like what I use Maya ? , For example I make a plane in Maya then Zbrush, Once I completed it could I import the entire thing to Unity ? rather than sculpt it in unity itself ?

*EDIT : Yes I know you can import objects but what I am asking is can I Import a whole entire map ? since I previously used cryengine I had to bake out heightmaps and etc. If you can't answer nicely then I suggest you don't answer at all.

NOTE : Understand the question before blatantly putting out the answer, Alot of you guys do that.

So what you're saying is that I can import a whole solid level just like I do to 3D models ??

I am saying you "can". I am not saying you "should". I am not versed enough in 3D modeling to know if there is an efficient way of doing that. I generally bring pieces in and place them together, thus making a whole level.

$$anonymous$$y problem with the unity, map editor is that it isn't that easy to sculpt something that I want

Sure, that is true. Like I said, you can definitely make your levels in $$anonymous$$aya. I just wouldn't make the entire level one model. I would certainly break it up. Then again, I am no expert on modeling.

Ahh, okay thanks the useful information, and yeah what I meant by level is the plane that I wanted to export not the objects that comes with the plane :) thanks
