Apply materials to imported meshes
Hey everyone, we've got a bit of a problem. We've managed to make an entire level in Blender, except as of now it is only gray because we don't have textures for it. Since the level is split up in Blender, if we export it as an FBX, everything is split up into individual pieces that would SHOULD be able to slap materials on, however when we do, it shows up as a solid color instead of the full detailed texture of the material. Is there any way to fix this aside from unwrapping everything individually? If so, this would speed up our workflow TEN fold so all help is appreciated! And sorry if this question has been answered somewhere else, we couldn't find one that was.
Wasn't clear to me from your description so - do you have a UV map with seams, materials and textures from Blender?
yeah... you pretty much have to have uv maps. If you have already unwrapped the whole thing as a single object and you're just asking how to combine the things so you can do a single material, then I think you want you need to select all the meshes in blender, and then ctrl+J > Join.
