New to Unity, have no idea what to do
Hello Unity, I was bored today and decided to to see if I could make a video game, with graphics such as WoW and all those games. So I found Unity and it was free so I decided to try it out. Unfortunately when i downloaded Unity and started it up, making a video game wasn't as easy as i thought it would be. I watched tutorials, but it seems they have different versions then I do (I'm on the 30 day free trial) so they didn't really help. So I'm asking someone if they could please help me on how to start, this really looks like a fun project I could do in my free time.

I was in your position only a few weeks ago.. wanted to start making games.. unity looked easy and then it was bam!!.. wow this is really technical.. am I right?? Well don't stress you chose q good program which has a well supported community.. If your looking to get started somewhere I would start with the walker boys tutorials http://walkerboystudio.com/html/unity_training___free__.html They start from the very beginning and help you grasp everything from game objects to scripting to particles .. and everything between.. Check em out..

What @Dharke said, and I'll offer some more advice. Start with a simple game. Pong, or Breakout or something similar. Get it working with a UI, game play, advancing levels - basically make it a complete game. You'll learn a huge amount about making games, and derive great satisfaction out of completing one.
If you start with something complex, you will fail. You will soon find that even a simple game is challenging enough when starting out.
