Unity 2019.3.5f1 URP particle blending issue.
Just wondering if anyone has run into this blending issue with particles in URP. My particles are looking different in scene view compared to game view. Its getting some kind of black / green blend in game mode. Scene view looks correct. I recently re-made the entire project because I ran into this issue, and it worked for a while but now its back.
All post processing is disabled
Texture for the particle is a grayscale png with all compression disabled.
Seems to be mostly visible on low alpha particles like dust and smoke.
Does it whether the game is playing or not.
[Edit] Seems to be related to the Multiply mode. (Other modes look the same in scene as they do in game)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Hey @RetnuhStudio ! I don't have any help to provide, but I was wondering if by any chance you had found a solution to this? I have the same issue in HDRP, it shows up with smoke particles mostly, low alpha, like you. I thought it was a Translucent issue but it appears even when using the Standard material type. I'm trying to use the "Simple Lit" material type at the moment and it doesn't show as badly, but it's definitely still there on the edges/ where the alpha is the lowest. Any help would be appreciated! This is not a Diffusion Profile issue like I've seen in many other forum queries
Hey @Ohmydumbledear , no I never found a work around sorry. I did submit a bug report and got this response the other day.
The bug has been reproduced and our developers have put it on our roadmap for a partial system rewrite. We can't say when this will be ready for release, so we have resolved this bug as postponed.
same happens here 2 years later :( using URP and the problem persists with low alpha values, regardless if i'm using lit or unlit particle shaders.
