Unity Player not installing

Question

So my unity player is not installing on my computer. I'm not getting any errors whatsoever. It downloads fine, but when I install it starts it but then it says "installation failed".

I'm running Windows 7 with Avast Anti-virus.

Try it with one of the demo games on Unity3d.com.

Or does it not work?

I'm having a similar problem: when I try to install direct from the unity website, I can download the file, and it runs for a couple seconds and then stops working. When I try to install through Kongregate, it downloads the pack and then give me the message "instalation failed".

I'm using Windows 7 and Windows Utilities AV.

same here icefromhell it downloads perfectly then it just comes up with installtion failed

any ideas on how to fix this unity?

Same here. Although I successfully do a manual install I get "Jumpstart failed to update unity web".

Unity has proven to be an ongoing nightmare for years now.

same here. i want to play game on kongerate and dead frontier,it tells me to install manualy and then when i start to play it sais that i need better version. and forever like that...
