Align a parent object model which contain fixed child alignment points to a set of fixed marker points
The example use-case is the case of aligning a predefined model/object with set fixed points to pre-defined markers. The situation is the same shown in the video in this post.(https://forum.unity.com/threads/precision-alignment-as-seen-in-lowess-kitchen-demo.443408/).
How do I align a parent object which has known fixed points defined below it (through the use of child object transforms) to a set of fixed marker object transforms
I want to align the transform of ParentModelObject1 in the hierarchy below where the children ChildObjectFixedPoint objects are the reference points to align to the correlating numbered points of the ParentMarkerObjectPoint marker object transforms.
So if I set three separate real-life markers, the predefined model which has the known set points would snap to the set markers. I realize the markers may not align 100% to the models but I would like to snap the model as close as possible.
Trying to find a solution that will align to any number of markers defined (the example model has 3 align points while others could have more or less).
Hierarchy:
-ParentModelObject1
---ChildObjectFixedPoint1
---ChildObjectFixedPoint2
---ChildObjectFixedPoint3
-ParentMarkerObjectPoint1
-ParentMarkerObjectPoint2
-ParentMarkerObjectPoint3
