Replace static placeholders with the animated ones
Hello,
is there a way to replace the static objects in a scene (some kind of placeholders) with the animated ones, which were separated from the same scene for animation and have the same dimentions, topology and UVs?
I have a building with the doors and windows in it. It exports as a single FBX file with a number of static sub-objects in it and mported into Unity just fine. I would like to animate doors and windows one by one and replace the static sub-objects in the imported FBX with the animated ones. I don't care much about prefab, i just want to replace the existing geometry with the animated one without having to spend hours repositioning them one by one.
Is that possible?
