GetStaticEditorFlags utility not letting me Build App.
Hello people,
So close, yet not quite there. At the moment of finally building up my export app as a WebPlayer application I got this error:
BCE0005: Unknown identifier: 'GameObjectUtility'.
At some point in my code I had to use this method:
GameObjectUtility.GetStaticEditorFlags(SOMEGAMEOBJECT)
Since I want (need) to check for Static items in my scene, I'm forced to use this library even thought the documentation says: This is an editor class. I was hoping the compiler will just ignore this and magically build up my Webapp project.
Is there a way to make accessible this library in exported projects; or even better, is there another way to check if a given GameObject is Static or not using any other resource?
Thanks in advance. May the force be with you.
(PS: I'm working in JavaScript)
In the mean time, as a workaround I will assign all my Static objects with a special Tag name only for static items.
In that way I will check for the tagname of the objects ins$$anonymous$$d of the staticflag, letting me remove any interaction with GameObjectUtility library.
If someone knows how to get the Static value of a GameObject in scene without using GameObjectUtility. Please let me know, I'm aware that I'm using a cheap trick right now.
