Question by Moodlogu · Jun 07, 2013 at 12:16 AM · webplayerlocation

Where is the Unity Web Player located on my hard drive?

I found some log files and an uninstall program but not the main program itself. System: Windows 7

Kind of need to know which OS you're using.

The default location in Windows is c:\program files (x86)\Unity.

If you're looking for the Web Player location, you should be able to find out by looking at "plugins" or "extensions" in your web browser.

In IE9: Select Tools/Manage Add-Ons. Select "Show All Addons", find and select Unity. Click the "more information" link that appears at the bottom. This gives you a path to the ActiveX control. On mine...

File: UnityWebPluginAX.ocx Folder: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\LocalLow\Unity\WebPlayer\loader

Any browser should let you follow a similar procedure to find the location.

Sorry I forgot about that. It's Windows 7. I don't have any Unity folder in c:\program files (x86)\

Right click on the icon you use to install it and select properties. That'll give you the path. Either you uninstalled it, or changed the default path.

I found a folder called WebPlayer in C:/Users/AppData/LocalLow/Unity. There's cache, mono, loader, player, UnityBugReporter, UnityWebPlayerUpdate.

In C:\Users/AppData/LocalLow/Unity/WebPlayer/player/Stable3.x.x/Data/lib there's UnityEngine.dll. Is that what I'm looking for, the components of the main program?

And I don't have any icon but the program is working.

Are you talking about the web player? Or the Unity editor?
