A problem with character speed
I am creating a game where you need to move fast, I had my character's sideways speed set to 6 to experiment. I decided to bump it up to 100 but to my surprise it went a bit slower! How can I get my character to move faster?
We'll need to see your code to even remotely understand what you are doing.
I forgot to say that I set all the speeds to 6, 100, etc.

The issue is that you increased it's sideways speed. To make the character faster in forward/backward speed: Go to Character Motor's --> "Movement" in the Inspector of the Character Controller and change its "Max Forward Speed" value from 6 to your desired speed. I hope that helped.
