Mecanim Inherit Velocity of previous animation?
I have a jump state and a fall state for my character, but the fall state goes straight down. Is there a way to inherit the momentum of the jumping and apply it during the fall state? Thanks!

I have the same question. Have you came up with a solution? I thought of layer blending, but I'm not so sure. $$anonymous$$aybe it is only doable with scripting?
I ended up not using $$anonymous$$ecanim-driven movement at all, ins$$anonymous$$d using the Character Controller with $$anonymous$$ecanim in-place animations. But if I were to have a solution I would have an animation blend-tree with one fall straight down and another moving foward, then I would calculate the speed based off of position values and input. So yes, only doable with scripting
