How do I make a horse?

Hi. Do you know any tutorial to make a horse (that moves, of course) for unity 3D? I'm just beggining, so let's say I know nothing. Thank you.

Unity is not a modeling program. And tutorials will not help you model something as complex as a horse when you prolly don't even know what modeling means.

But what if Unity was a modeling tool too - that would just rock my socks off!

@save that would be awefull, because then we would have the 3D artist fiddling around with our code and structures. yikes Btw. Blender has some kinda Game thing within it.

True @BerggreenD$$anonymous$$, the statement was from an egoistic point of view. :-)

You dont. You get a 3D program and design/model it with animation bones and then export it for Unity3D.

Search for Blender. Its a free 3D application for designing such and is compatible with Unity file formats.

You need two consenting adult horses. Set the mood.

I'm upvoting this, even if I'm not supposed to. XD

I've received wrath in the past for comical "answers". If a question has less than -1 votes it should be open season on ridiculous answers.

Well, this is how Jon Skeet gets his rep :)

This answer was downvoted right after I upvoted it a while ago though. I wonder who did that. Shame on whoever that was. XD

We know we're being bad. Could have been far worse if @testure hadn't made his first edit.

You can skip the modelling and just BUY a 3D horse here:

http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm?keyword=horse&x=0&y=0

After that you import the horse into Unity3D, add the object and THEN the real fun starts.

1) does it have to be animated, if so - the model MUST contain animations/bones

2) movement is called Translate in Unity3D.

Actually, there's a tutorial project http://unity3d.com/support/resources/unity-extensions/locomotion-ik that takes care of foot placement, even for multi-legged creatures.

But he still needs to design the horse itself first?

And you can even get horse animations from Mixamo.
