measure bandwidth/internet speed???
Any ideas to measure how to measure bandwidth? i have a somewhat simple game but i expect it to be running 50+ players. Many may be AI. right now the first player handles all the AI choices and movements and sends them through the network. i am looking to measure internet speed of the machines and switch the AI responsibility to the machine with the fastest connection.
so i geuss the code i want would be something like this:
var internetspeed:float;
internetspeed=get.internet.speed.somewhere????
i had the thought of setting up a basic counter in frames after i send an RPC for lost frames but i thought there must be a better way!!!! any ideas?
