Latest unity version caused super-massive-giant lag
I had Unity 3.5.4.something for a while now, and I just got the latest version today in addition to the 30-day trial.
My game just went from more than 100 fps to 1.8 fps. I disabled my terrain collider and it was at 80-100 fps, so apparently this stupid update can't handle having many instanced-trees in the game.
Thank god I opened this with a backup, and why is this happening? I'm really annoyed because now I just used up my 30-day license on making my game completely unplayable. What am I suppose to do now? Downgrade?

Maybe, and only maybe, some scripts have old references and the console pops out them causing it the lag.
The console isn't popping anything out though, and by disabling the terrain collider, my lag is gone.
$$anonymous$$mmm that's strange, can you please post a screenshot of the terrain and the settings?
Never$$anonymous$$d! I just found out I had "Create Tree Colliders" on!
But even before, it was never 1.8 fps with it on, it was still in the 20-24 fps. In fact, it's been lower (but then again I'm using an older archive so it's possible I actually reduced some lag, but then again maybe the new Unity actually ate up some of my FPS)
No, it did. I just duplicated my real version, and now the FPS is even LOWER! It's 65 fps on my start menu ins$$anonymous$$d of the normal 90-120 fps in 3.5.4!
