Profiling with Instruments tool on iOS shows DrawSplashAndWaterMarks() after splash screen is no longer visible
I am profiling my game running on IPad1/ios 5 using the Instruments tool. In the OpenGL analyser I am seeing some confusing results. The analyser is reporting under the"Recommend Using VBO" a stack trace that contains DrawSplashAndWatermark(). This is happening like 4 - 8 times per frame, even after the splash screen is no longer being displayed and I am in my game. Is the Instruments tool lying to me is is Unity actually making calls to display the splashscreen during my gameplay?
What version of Unity do you have? The function name includes "watermark", so it's not just rendering a splash screen.
Oh yeah. I bet its the "development build" watermark. That seems pretty expensive for a watermark tho.
