On Unity Wiki I see dynamic text that says "Invalid language". Why?
Below is what I see.
Invalid language. You need to specify a language like this: ... Supported languages for syntax highlighting. You need to specify a language like this: ... Supported languages for syntax highlighting
I am trying to ascertain the format of the code below this and assume that this "dynamic" text is saying the code is invalid. Please help me understand. I am trying to us the following code but this problem keeps me from using it.
is there an easy way to deter$$anonymous$$e the language the script below it is written in with out this text?
Yes but is it written in c sharp, javascript etc...
Is there an easy way to tell. Ty
It's not a script, it's a shader. Shaders don't use scripting languages.
The shader is written in the ShaderLab syntax which isn't supported by the syntax highlighter of the wiki. The wiki does never perform any checks of the code. The warning is just about the color highlighting.

It's irrelevant; don't worry about it. It happened when the wiki was last updated but has no effect since it's just about syntax highlighting (or not) on the wiki.
