Unity make a bird fly

I'm using unity2D and I would like to make a bird fly I have been trying to find a tutorial, but I didn't find any.I have created 5 pictures with different position, how can I make the Material change on movement? (I'm using JavaScript). I hope someone could give me a good tutorial or some advice on how I can do it, Thanks
