Water Shaders Question
I'm wondering if there are any good tutorials anyone knows about for using and modifying those water plane materials. I took some pictures of a nice marsh water surface and tiled them into seemless maps and I was trying to modify the "Nighttime Simple Water" material but was unable to figure it out. Basically I'm trying to make a nice swamp water material that riples the same way as just regular water, but I'll confess I have no clue what I'm doing with that stuff so any points in the right direction or links to tutorials would be very helpfull.
much thanks :D

The trick to making nice water is realizing that it doesn't have much color of it's own. For the most part you see the sky it is reflecting and things being refracted from under the surface. For this you just need some kind of seamless "ripple" normal map so you can choose nice reflection/refraction vectors.
The you can add some color / murkiness based on how deep the water is (on pixels colored by refraction).
